What's going on this week?
Weekly Prayer:
We meet again to pray for each other this Wednesdays at 8:00 a.m. in the Poplar Room at the Memorial Union. Jacob wrestled with the Lord's angel to receive a blessing; we will do our best to bless you for wrestling with sleep so you can wake up in time for prayer. Weekly Prayer:
Bi-weekly discussion group:
On Thursday, June 23, we meet at Kerilyn Harkaway-Krieger's house for Bible Study. Bring a snack to share! Kerilyn will lead discussion. We’ll read this piece, by Nicholas Wolterstorff, former professor of philosophy at Calvin College and Yale University. The piece is entitled “Advice to Those Who Would Be Christian Scholars.” Wolterstorff is offering something of challenge to all of us who engage the world and our work in it thoughtfully and reflectively, so it should be engaging to those who are not training to be scholars as well.
We're still looking for leaders & hosts for July 7 & 21. Please email Sadie if you are interested.
Book Club meets this week on Wednesday! We'll get together from 7-9 pm at the Scholar's Inn Bakehouse on east 3rd Street (near College Mall), to discuss Gilead.
Habitat for Humanity Build:
We plan to do a Habitat for Humanity build on Saturday, July 9th. Details will follow!
