This week in IUGFM: July 4-9

We're back! We hope you all enjoyed Independence Day weekend as much as we did! Now, on to this week's events in IUGFM:

Weekly Prayer:
How long will you lie there, O sluggard?
When will you arise from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest,
And you'll miss our weekly time of prayer entirely.
Proverbs 6:9-11, GFM Revised Standard Version
This week, we're back in the Charter Room at the Memorial Union, 8:00 AM sharp!

Discussion Group:
Our topical Bible study with rotating leadership will meet again on Thursday, June 9, at 7 p.m. We'll meet at Trevor & Vanessa Babcock's apartment at 444 E 3rd St, Apt 106 (47401), Burnham Rentals, on the SW corner of 3rd & Dunn. Street parking is available on Grant & on 2nd; email Sadie if you'd like to carpool. Bringing snacks is not required, only encouraged and met by all with extreme gratitude.

Trevor will lead discussion of "Learning in War-Time," a 1939 sermon given by C.S. Lewis. Read it here.

Want to take a turn leading or hosting? Pick a reading and email Sadie if you'd like to step up.

THIS WEEKEND!!!! Habitat for Humanity Build!!!!
It's here! This Saturday, July 9th, we're serving alongside Habitat for Humanity. We need volunteers to work as well as people to bring food for lunch. Chad Burrus (chad.burrus@gmail.com) has gallantly volunteered to coordinate volunteers and food, so please contact him if you plan to attend/bring food. Habitat has difficulty finding enough volunteers in the summer months, when the weather is ripe for building, so if you can pitch in, now is the time!

Next week:
Thinking about Faith will resume meeting on Tuesday, July 12. The topic will be "Heaven and Hell."
